I don’t understand why it is so hard for businesses to understand that they can make life easier for people and still make a profit.

For instance, we have known for years now that eventually the world is going to run out of oil and we need other sources of power. Plus we have known that oil is a major contributor to smog, which affects our breathing. Yet big business seems determined to maintain its tight grip on squeezing every last drop of oil out of the earth as it can.

The Movie

Have you seen Zeitgeist? It amazes me that many of the things talked about in this movie are things I have found out through research I have done in other areas. Put it all together in one movie and it becomes exceptionally powerful.

I know a lot of what hackers do is intended to be funny or disruptive, but I have never known it to be meant to intentionally cause harm in people which is why I find the hackers that broke in to the Epilepsy Foundations web-site to post flashing pictures to be beyond words.

Epileptics can be thrown into a seizure by any sort of flashing image. Video games and even cartoons can cause a full blown or near seizure incident that could actually be deadly. My step father was an epileptic and when he would come over, the kids would have to take their video games into the bedroom, because they would cause him to have a seizure.

I hope they find who did this one and throw the book at them. This might actually be a case where waterboarding was called for.

It is a shame when people that are in the country illegally will do more to be heard than the people born in this country. These peoples risk of being arrest was MUCH higher than the average protesters would be because they are here illegally, but that did not stop thousands from rallying to demand the right to become citizens of the US.

Yet the average citizen that was born in this country won’t take 1 hour a month to write a letter on a subject dealing with their loss of rights, protected by the Constitution of the USA, much less actually go rally in front of the capital to be heard.

We have so many ways of being heard, with one being our vote on election day, but it is so much easier to sit back and hope someone else takes care of it.

If you are not going to help find a solution, then quit complaining when you don’t have the money to feed your kids.

What is your human value? I’m not talking about anything to do with net worth. Forget how much money you have in the bank. it’s got nothing to do with how much property you own. I’m talking about your Human Value. Where you rank in the grand scheme of those the rule the world.

Who has the greatest Human Value, the richest man on earth or the garbage collector with the lowest salary? Would you choose the waitress making $2.15 an hour plus tips or the Corporate CEO making 7 digit bonuses each year? Is it the teacher of your children or fire fighter that saved your house last week?

I hope you have figured out this was a trick question because there is not enough information listed to be able to tell who has the greatest human value, because it has nothing to do with money.

A persons human value has to do with what they do for others. With what they do for the world. A homeless man on the street that shares his sandwich with another homeless person that does have one, has more worth that the Corporate CEO that cuts workers salaries so he will get a bigger bonus.

So why is it that we look down upon those that make less money than we do, even before we know anything about them? If I had the answer to that one, we could solve one of the worlds biggest problems.

I was shocked to see gas has gone down again to just $3.47, but 7 people died in tornadoes across the mid west today. If it was just those too things I would have stopped at calling it a bland day, but after learning the truth about our glorious (excuse me while I get sick) president’s torture and death of people.

We have all heard hints of the torture and death going on at the prison camps set up for prisoners in Afghanistan and Iraq. But today the story was released on exact what has been happening and how deeply involved our government was in making it happen.

The paper trail that proves it has been found and yet still he remains in office. When did this country become a dictatorship because when the leaders of a country reach the point of being above and beyond the reach of the law of the land, a dictatorship is exactly what it has become.

It is time to impeach Bush. He should not be allowed to remain in office. Will you write you congress person and ask them to make it happen and if they choose not to, remember this when election time rolls around.

I truly have not 100% decided who I would rather see as our next president. But I am finding it harder and harder to keep my mouth shut on the Reverend Wright issue in Obama’s campaign.

The media keeps saying that black preachers are stating that you have to understand the role of the black preacher in challenging injustice in this country. Now perhaps I see this differently than most because I too am someone that challenges injustice on a regular basis, but I can not accept a statement calling for the killing of all white people as an acceptable way to challenge injustice.

I fully agree with Reverend Wright that a lot of what goes on in this country is not right and it needs to be called out an examined in the light of day. But it is not a problem with white people and it is not a problem with black people and it is not a problem with any other race or national origin. It is a problem with SOME people.

There are people from every race, religion and national origin that I have found to be wonderful, loving people. At the same time, there are people from every race, religion and national origin that I have found to be obnoxious (to be kind and PG here).

A persons decision to be obnoxious is not controlled by the color of their skin or anything other than the amount of hate they have inside of them.

When I factor in Obama’s statement of having sat in Wrights church for 20 years and never heard him say any of those things, it’s just a little more than I can believe if I want to ever call myself an intelligent person again. So unless there is some major changes, I hope Clinton gets it.

Fairness. It is a concept that is rarely found in our world these days. Sure you will find a small portion of the average citizen that will claim they believe in it, at least until fairness says they should do without this time that is.

It is a concept that is virtually missing in our governmental and legal systems, and it really needs to change.

Human being should be better than dogs, yet dogs show more commitment than the average human. Dogs have no concept that comes close to fairness, for them, its all about survival of the fittest and the strongest dog gets the bone.

Humans had to live that way also, way back in ancient history, but every generation since that time, the need for survival of the fittest has become less important till today, there is ZERO need for it. Yet we can’t seem to let it go.

We should be able to work fairness into our lives, government and legal system. Yet as long as a persons value is determined by how much money they have, survival of the fittest will always be in the forefront of most humans brains.

I personally think I am better than the average dog and I try to make fairness a rule in my life instead of the rarity. Are you brave enough to try the same?

I’ve never been able to get up the nerve to steal something but if I was going to steal, I would probably make it something really worth the time, effort and danger of possibly getting caught.

Plus I have always heard they do things bigger in Texas. But this guy really has a thing about doing things in a big way.

It was bad enough that he decided to steal from his girlfriends mother, you won’t find that one on 50 ways to lose your lover, will ya.

it was even worse that he decided to go for the big bucks and be set for life on his first and only forgery.

But writing a forged personal check for an amount that would choke all but the biggest of the big of corporations, $360,000,000,000.00 to be exact, was about as dumb and dumb can get. Yes, you read that correctly, it is $360 BILLION with a B!

I think we should start a dumb criminal award, this guy would win hands down!

Today is a sad day. The government of Italy decided they would post the name, address, and income of all it’s citizens who have filed false income tax reports, online for everyone in the world to see.

At first glance, you almost thing they got what they deserved for not paying their taxes, but when you stop and think about what happened, it should make the entire world angry, because another assault on our privacy is under way.

Thankfully enough people raised hell over it that the website was taken down. But I wonder if it had happened here in the US, would anyone have complained?

Many of the assaults against our rights happen just to see if we will complain and sadly, most American never complain. It is easier to just sit back and allow it to happen instead of standing up for what is right. If you are at least looking for a solution, you are part of the problem.
