We wanted to take a moment and explain how and why we approve or delete various comments posted on our blogs.

We all know that posting comments on blogs can be a great help in getting traffic to both the blog they are posted on, and the web pages belonging to the people that make the comments. So it is very good for us to work together and help each other out in the process of getting out sites seen.

Sadly however, the vast majority of people how make comments on blogs simply want a link to their site and could care less whether they are helping or hindering anyone else from having their site seen. These types of comments are known as comment spam, and they just are not welcome here because they hurt our site and the people who are working the system properly.

So what do we consider to be comment spam? Comments that offer nothing in value to this site and are designed to simply get a link to a specific site without regard for anyone else’s site.

To be approved, your comment should have some value to this site. Make an actual comment about the article you are posting your comment on. Ask a question that we can post a reply to, but say something positive and helpful to others.

The vast majority of comments which include only 1 to 5 words will NOT be approved. Give me something I can work with and I will gladly return the favor by approving your post and giving you the link to your site.

You will find Larry and I are very big on people helping people in this business. The days of grabbing what you can while you can are over and it is via co-operation that we will see our businesses grow in the future.

Here is some examples of comments which will be deleted as soon as they are seen:

1 – here’s some great info… (in these types of comments, they literally don’t include anything else after the … but of course they have included their link in their name. This is not acceptable because it does nothing for our site, search engines will literally look right over it and know it for what it is spam.

2 – Visit my site at… (see reply on #1 above)

3 – Anything which includes any sort of foul language, threats, links to porno or any site dealing with hate, theft, hacks, etc. We reserve the right to disapprove any comment posted for any reason whatsoever.
