I was feeling very sorry for Valerie Hunter, wife of the Texas IRS agent who was killed when Joe Stack crashed his plane into the building housing the local branch of the IRS. I would have gladly donated to a fund to help support her since she will now be without her husbands income. Yet here it is less than a week since the incident and she has decided to sue the one other person that has been hurt just as much as she has.

Valerie Hunter filed suit today against Sheryl Stack seeking to take any money Stack may have left her, claiming she should have warned others about her husband. I have several problems with this.

First, I have yet to hear that Joe Stack ever told his wife he intended to crash his plane into an building. Husbands and wives argue, especially when it involved money, and unless Stack told his wife he intended to do what he did, I doubt Sheryl Stack would have thought him capable of doing something like he did.

Second, let’s not forget that Sheryl Stack is now left to raise her small child by herself, with no home for them to stay in because her husband set it on fire before leaving on his rampage.

The business her husband owned is gone now. The plane he crashed was probably one of the few assets the business had left and no insurance company is going to replace the plane since he intentionally crashed it.

That means whatever value there is left in their home, whatever little they had in the bank and any life insurance that will actually pay off, is all she has to raise her daughter on for the rest of her life.

Every ounce of sympathy I had for Valerie Hunter went out the window. She will have her husbands life insurance to live off of. She can draw his social security as a survivor. She still has the home she lived in with her husband. But it obviously isn’t good enough. She wants to make sure the other victims of this horrible incident have nothing left.

Anything she gets from this lawsuit and every penny spent in fighting it, will literally be taking food out of the mouth of a 4 year old child that will never see her daddy again.

It makes me wonder if Vernon Hunter was as great of a man as his children claim him to be. His wife obviously is not from the same mold and rarely are there this big of a difference between a husband and wife.

Valerie Hunter, I am sorry you lost your husband but shame on you for trying to take everything away from the other innocent victims of this horrible event.

Around the world people are debating the why, what, when and where of Joseph Stack, the man who flew his plane into a building housing his local IRS office yesterday.

On one side, people are arguing back and forth on whether to call him a terrorist or just a criminal. On the other side are people that are literally calling him a martyr. I sometimes thinks those in charge in the world start these arguments simply to keep peoples minds off what they really need to be thinking about, which is, how much of what this troubled man said was actually true?

I have not read his entire manifesto from start to finish and I don’t intend to. I feel empathy towards anyone that is hurting badly enough to do something like this and reading their last words is too painful for me. But listening to the news broadcast of what happen, I could not help but overhear parts of what was troubling him.

For obvious reasons, I in no way applaud what this man did, at the same time however, I do think it is a sign of the severity of the problems in this country and I fear, there will be more instances of people moving past the breaking point in the future.

Joseph Stack crossed the line when he got into his plane and set out the try to kill people, of that there is no doubt, but don’t think that because he could not deal with the problems, that means everything he said was wrong, because there was a lot of truth in what he was saying.

You have to remember, God made people and people made money.

Yet our society has chosen to put the man made money, above the God made man. Those in power in the world have become so caught up in obtaining more and more money that they no longer care whether the average person has food, medical care or a roof over their head.

Of course they are allowing the majority (at least in this country) to have a reasonable amount of these things. But only enough to keep people afraid they will lose what they already have. Never enough to truly be able to enjoy life.

It does not have to be this way. We can build a society in which everyone has all the necessities of life but it will require a complete overhaul of the way we do business, the way we run our governments and the way the individuals think.

Change is coming. It won’t happen today or tomorrow, but it is on the wind and slowly working its way into our society. We can choose to allow it to happen and prepare for the bumps before they happen, or we can fight it happening, in which case, there is no telling how many other people will end up reaching the breaking point and snapping as Joseph Stack did.

Utilities, food and medical care should not be ran by big business. They should be not-for-profit enterprises ran specific to take care of the masses.

There can still be a market for specialty foods, but the everyday nutrition the average person needs to survive should not cost more than what the lowest paying job around can afford to pay.

There can still be a market for lavish medical care, but good solid basic care should be available to everyone free of charge.

Rather than making their millions off the backs of the common people and forcing them to do without necessities, big business can focus on providing the rich with their luxuries.

It is a complex issues that will not be fixed overnight, but until people start demanding things change, they never will. I urge you however, to start using the systems that are already in place to make things happen. DO NOT turn to force and anger.

You have two of the most powerful tools in the world at your disposal. Your vote, when dealing with the government and your money (withholding it from) businesses.

We have only to look at the ways God wants things done to find out why we are having such severe economic times. God created the world and the entire universe to work in balance. It is one of the many laws of nature that everything must be in balance. It is as basic as the laws of cause and effect. It has been said many ways such as you can not have light without dark, good without bad, up without down.

Money works the same way. When too many seek to control the resources of all, the majority go without and that is what we are seeing happening at this point in time.

As humans it is often hard to see how Gods plan works in things, but if you keep in mind that God set His plan in motion on day one and it has always been in place. The laws of God work the same

way now as they did a million years ago. It is us, the people He loves and gave free will that are the ones that have allowed the balance to get outside of Gods intended system and we are the ones that pay the price.

Any system that places more value on a person by how much money they have rather than what they do, will always have the majority in a state of lack so the few can have their luxuries. Yet that is exactly the type of society we have allowed to be established.

The rich and famous are known for their stunts, drinking, running around on their spouses, and much more and the rest of the world adores them, while the majority of the population has to make choices on whether to buy food or medical care each week. But as long as we allow it to be this way, it will continue to get worse.

God’s way is that anyone that works for a living would not have to do without any of the necessities of life. If you have a full time job, you deserve to have a place to live, food to eat, medical care, clothes to wear and even a little vacation each year to keep your sanity.

At the same time, anyone who is capable of working yet chooses not to, only receives the basics necessities of life on the goodness of the hearts of others. They are not owed a living if they are not working. Of course there would be an exception for those truly physically or mentally unable to work, but the idea that a case of depression makes you unable to work is not what we are speaking of here.

Many of today’s religions teach that it is not by works but only by faith that you are saved. This has set up a system where huge portions of those that claim to be religious will do or say anything they want, without regard to the harm it causes others, believing they can rape, steal or even murder today, ask for forgiveness tonight and everything is fine.

We have to be the ones to say NO MORE. Few will have the courage to say it, because for change to happen, it will take our entire way of living being turned upside down and it will not be easy.

The necessities of life, MUST be affordable to everyone that works. Plain and simple. Every job on this planet is needed or it would not exist. So the wages of every job should be able to cover the necessities of life, but it does not.

In fact, the vast majority of people in the world do not make enough money to have the basic necessities of life. Think about how many people in the world are going hungry, living in substandard housing, never having medical care.

For most of my life, when thinking of these things you were thinking mainly of third world countries, but it has reached the point where a large portion of the population in all the industrialized nations are now having to pick and choose whether to buy food or medication each week.

If you happen to be one of those in the upper crust who has to have your weekly spa trips and feel the majority of the worlds population is just not up to your standards, I honestly feel sorry for you.

When you stand before God and He asks what did you do for your fellow man? Who did you help to have the necessities of life? How many people could have been fed off each of your spa trips?

The waitress at the local restaurant that uses her tips to buy an hamburger for the homeless man the lives out behind the restaurant is greater in Gods eyes than those that put their luxuries before those that do not have the necessities.

We can have a system where people are paid different amounts of money based on what they do. But a system where the few take everything and leave the majority as basically slaves, without the necessities of life, is wrong.

A country should be ruled by its people, not its businesses.

A country should protect its citizens, not its businesses.

God has given us everything we need to not just survive, but to thrive on earth. but we have chosen to set in place a system that does not work and can not work because it overlooks the fact that man is an animal and the vast majority work from instinct, not the gifts that God gave us that make us more than just animals.

You’ve probably heard the statement, we are responsible for our own actions, a hundred times or more, but most people tend to never really think about what the true meaning of that statement is, or how it applies to God’s interaction with us.

God gives us free will. We are free to develop a society based on any standards we so choose to base it on. With only a few exceptions, we are free to determine for ourselves what actions we consider to be illegal and/or immoral.

God did not put us on earth to have to keep tabs on almost 7 billion people and make them tow the line. He put within us all the knowledge and tools we need to know what He wants for us. But those in charge in the various religions decided to use fear of God to control the masses and

as this fear based society has gone unchecked for hundreds of years, it has grown into something far removed from Gods plan for us.

It was never Gods plan that the many do without so the few can live in luxury. It was never Gods plan that working class people have to pick and choose whether to get medical care or whether to buy groceries this week. We have chosen to develop a society that bases a persons worth on how much money they have instead of how much good they do.

All of these and all the other ills of society are something we, as a society have chosen to allow. It does not have to be this way, yet the fear based society has become so strong that we literally fear fighting the status quo. We forget that we have the power to make changes to our world, but to do so means we must go against the status quo.

Thankfully, our government is set us in such a way that we have the tools we need to make change without using any type of violence or force. We have two tools that can change the course of the world if only we will use them for that purpose.

We have our vote to make changes to our government and we have our money to make changes to business. Yet the average person will not take the time or make the effort to put these tools to work for us.

When we use our vote to make changes to our government, it requires we take the time to learn who our vote is going to, and to not be afraid to stand us and tell our elected officials when we are not happy with what they are doing. Yet the average person can not tell you who their elected officials are and have never written a letter or called one of their elected officials.

I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings, but if you are not doing these things then you are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

When businesses are raising prices on the products and services we must have to survive, then giving that money to the select few top management employees, while the bottom line employees that do all the dirty work can’t make ends meet, we can let them know we are not happy with it and refuse to take it by simply not spending any money with them.

If only 1% of a companies customer base will openly stop spending their money with a specific business and be vocal and let everyone know why they are doing it, changes will be made because the businesses are being hit where it hurts the most, in their bank balance.

When you deal with God on an individual level and forget about the controlling, fear based aspects of religion, you become extremely powerful. God does not want you to be powerless, to have to be afraid of what tomorrow will bring, but He expects you to use that power for good.

What have you done today to use the power that God has given you. If you don’t use it, you will lose it, so reclaim your power now. Stand up for what is right for a change, not for more of the same things that have been going on for years.

Does God rule by love or by fear? If you listen to what most of the major religions say, it gets to be a little hard to believe that God rules by love because all they talk about is the Fear of God.

God love us. he loves each and every one of us no matter what we choose to call Him. He does not care what we call Him. We can call him God, Goddess, Buddha, Mohamed, Zeus, Thor, Isis, Astarte or

any one of the thousands of other names He has been known by since the beginning of mankind.

God is a being that is so powerful, so omni-everything, that ancient man could not begin to comprehend the totality of God. They saw God in everything and knew their very survival depended on Him, yet they could not comprehend how He could be everywhere and do everything as a single being.

So in order to be able to understand and commune with God, they had to break God down into smaller pieces that they could understand and deal with in their limited reasoning abilities. This is where all the various names for God has come from through out history. A farmer could understand the God of the Sun enabled his crops to grow and the God of rain could water his crops, but he could not comprehend that they were one and the same God and as time went on the number of so called Gods grew as man placed a name on the individual aspects of God that they needed help from at that moment in time.

If you remember that God made us, he understands that mankind’s ability to think and understand has grown and developed over the centuries and He knows how humans tend to hold on to beliefs, long after they have come to understand further truth of the matter, and He there fore loves everyone, not just those that choose to call Him by this centuries mainstream religion.

So you could say that “All paths lead to God.” Because what you choose to call God does not determine your place in the afterlife. It is who you are, what you have done in your life that will determine whether you move on or return to the refiners fire for another trip through the melting pot.

What is the difference between religion and spirituality? The answer you get can vary greatly depending on who you ask, so I thought it best to start off this site with the definition that will be used on this site.

For me, I see religion as an organization that was started by mankind, is ran by mankind and has all the problems of mankind. Think about it, if you count all the different denominations of the various religions as a religion of their own, then there are literally thousands of religions on earth and since it is impossible for all of them to be right, you have to

question just about everything about them, if you want to find the real truth of the matter.

Spirituality on the other hand is not a religion and it does not need a group of people to agree on anything. It is direction contact or direct knowledge of God. God gave us everything we need to know and understand what he expects of us and it is only when mankind starts to try to squeeze a little favoritism out of everyone else, that we start to have problems.

I believe religions were started as a way of controlling the masses and has gotten worse as time goes on. That does not mean that I think religious people are bad or mean. Most people mean well, and are simply doing the best they can do with the information that they currently have.

I’m here to tell you there is other information out there to be had. You do not have to live under the thumb of religion. God loves you and wants you to be happy, healthy and wise and has given you all the tools you need to know and understand His will, not the will of man seeking to control his fellow man.

More to come in the years a head.

Blessings!
